1. To encourage the study and application of all formats of imaging (ultrasound, magnetic resonance, X-ray, CT and other) in gynaecology

2. To promote and support the professional standards, values and interests of its membeeship

3. To publish and disseminate knowledge emanating from the Society

4. To open its membership to all working in the field of gynaecological surgery

5. To support and encourage a network of likeminded professionals to share their experiences in gynaecological imaging 

6. To promote educational and training/teaching through the organisation of regular meetings, conferences and workshops 

7. To promote interaction of its membership with similar societies overseas through provision of bursaries and travel funds

8. To educate members of the public and raise their awareness in the above roles 

9. To collaborate with international organisations or other appropriate societies related to the use of imaging as the Society deems necessary
