Welcome to the New BSGI website
We would like to invite you to be part of an exciting and rapidly evolving professional body in obstetric and gynaecological imaging.
Imaging in our specialty has become integral to modern practice and has shaped service development and delivery. This has resulted in vastly improved and streamlined patient care. Many of the specialist areas in gynaecology have societies of like-minded individuals to represent their interests, such as the British Fertility Society, British Menopause Society, British Society for Gynaecological Endoscopy, and the Association of Early Pregnancy Units. Until recently, there has not been a corresponding British Society to support the specialist area of imaging in obstetrics and gynaecology.
Key Features of the Society
- To encourage the study and application of all formats of imaging (ultrasound, magnetic resonance, X-ray, CT and other) in obstetrics and gynaecology
- To promote education and training through regular meetings, conferences and workshops
- To promote and provide multi-disciplinary CPD, both practical and web-based
- To promote professional standards in the specialty's imaging-related practices
- To collaborate and interact with other societies that have similar interests in imaging
- To publish and disseminate knowledge emanating from the society's activities
