Trainees

Welcome from the Trainees' Representative

Following the success and expansion of the British Society of Gynaecological Imaging, I have been elected as the Trainees Representative on the committee in April 2010. I think this comes at an important time in the history of medical imaging, as techniques and applications become more advanced, educational innovations rapidly develop and as the RCOG seeks to formalize and implement a national postgraduate training plan. It is significant that the subject of Gynaecological imaging warrants its own national society and that the trainees are included in this.

I would hope that over the next few years trainees take an increasingly pro-active role in the development of this extensively used area of our specialty, both in terms of education and development. It is my aim that the number of trainee members should expand, both in the UK and beyond and that they should be well connected, to share ideas, support each other and help the society develop further.

I look forward to communicate with you regularly in the future.
